Dum-da-rum-dum-daa! The Pattern Pyramid ready for take off!

Well ladies and gentlemen, the time has come for me to send on to the next lucky recipient the Pattern Pyramid started by Ann at Petty Grieviences and sent on to me from Mrs Mole of Fit for a Queen.

Now- form an orderly queue – no shoving at the back! I have been the custodian of the Pattern Pyramid which has been circumnavigating the globe and now the time has come – as I knew one day it would – where I have to let it go, but not before I have my fun with ya all. Before they are prised from my cold clammy hands and to be in with a shout of winning,  I wish for you to tell me what for you is the absolute bestest thing about sewing. For example, I love sewing because it allows me to make clothes that actually fit. There are no right or wrong answers and all names will be put into the hat and drawn on a fair and equitable basis, no bribing please!

Good Luck. The rules of the Pyramid are detailed over at Pattern Pyramid Giveaway « The Material Lady.

    • Yes, its very good. I have been on a corset making course but had bought this previously. I have watched the DVD which is very informative.
Please let me know what you feel is the bestest thing about sewing. I should explain that I wish to inspire younger ones to sew by posting quotes giving all the great reasons for sewing. thankx

  2. I have been trying to resist getting involved in this, because the Lord knows I do not need another project, but I simply must have the wrap dress in an adult size. I have the child’s version which my mother made for me over and over again….I loved it then and would love to have one now.

What I love about sewing….every stitch!! Learning to perfect my stitch quality, expanding my ability to handle cloth with beauty and precision and expressing myself through my attire.

  3. So happy you took the jacket pattern! I made 2 of them for a client and she loved them…one with the open lapel notch and the other was closed. The good thing is they make up fast! What a lovely gift to include corset making! Thank you for continuing the Pyramid! Love the 2 new additions!

  4. Oh! Oh! Me! Me! *hands raised frantically in the air whilst jumping up and down* I’ve been following all the news about The Pattern Pyramid, and would so love to be given a chance! And what’s the bestest thing I love about sewing? The exquisite pleasure in lovingly (lustfully?) handling heavenly fabrics that turn into well-fitting garments…. Sigh

  5. That’s awesome!! I’ve had corset making on my list for far too long & I hear good things about the Laughing Moon pattern :) Please add me to the list ^_^

I love so many things about sewing but what I love the most is being able to make things that fit me a hundred times better than RTW, and in fabrics & styles I could never find otherwise :)

  6. Please put my name in too! What Do I like about sewing? The chance to make something that fits and flatters me. It doesn’t always work out that way, but the possibility is always there!

  7. Hello, the best thing I like about sewing is recycling fabrics or old clothes. Another fun thing is taking a pattern that is not quite right and then having a creative play to make it work for me. :D
